Regional extent
In the Sarykolsky district of the Northern Pamir, the Upper Cretaceous forms the largest exposures and is most studied in the valley of the Kyzyljik river and along the northern rim of the Rangkul lake basin. This horizon likely corresponds to the Tagarin horizon Fm of the upper Cenomanian.
